When Avast Antivirus is installed on your system some 3rd party clients like Mozilla Thunderbird, SeaMonkey or The Bat!, may display that the mail server certificate is invalid when you communicate via e-mails. The 3rd party e-mail clients possess their own certificate stores and may need extra configuration to avoid warnings of invalid mail server certificates.
